Greenwash

Greenwash is an enviromental claim which is lie found in advertising,  on packaging and about organisatios, people, and products. The advertising Standards Authority in the UK are having more and more complaints against advertising that is a lie. Most greenwas is due to ignorance. Buisnesses and advertising agencies can help prevent greenwash from happening. There are many Signs of Greenwash such as Irrelevant claims, advertisements with no proof so you don't no if it's right, words or terms with no clear meaning such as Eco-Friendly, suggestive images such as flowers coming out of an exhaust pipe, comapanys that make out their products are greener than the rest. Some advertisements also include language that only scientists can check and would be able to understand.
